Located just a few steps from the world famous Playa Negra beach and surf break, the Casa Ganesha beach house lies in an oasis of tranquility surrounded by lush tropical nature. Named after the Hindu deity known as "Lord of the hosts", Casa Ganesha offers everything you could want from life in the tropics: large and well-ventilated indoor and outdoor living areas, exotic furniture reminiscent of another time and place, tasteful interior decorations and modern amenities.

maison Designed in 2008 by a family passionate about Asia and the Pacific lifestyle, the house was built in 2009 by local craftsmen using sustainable hardwoods from Costa Rica, such as Teak and Pochote, in addition to different-colored stained concrete. The garden boasts a wide variety of tropical plants and trees, such as frangipani, royal poinciana, guanacaste, mango, orange and papaya trees, and is often used as a resting spot for several species of birds, howling monkeys, squirrels and iguanas. Carved out of the garden among the tropical trees and shrubs is a swimming pool which uses a salt water system to avoid adding chlorine (the water purified using electrolysis).
We have done everything to make Casa Ganesha as charming and comfortable as possible so it feels like a real home and not just another vacation rental. We hope you have the most enjoyable stay !

plage au coucher du soleil The Pacific Ocean can be seen from the house and is only 100 yards from the Casa Ganesha via a footpath. There you will find wide stretches of shoreline where you can enjoy any number of outdoor activities. While seasoned surfers can hit the waves with some of the world’s best, others may try their hand at boogie board or go swimming along the white sandy beach just 300 yards away. Or you can play with the hermit crabs and collect seashells on the short walk to the quaint nearby fishing village of Callejones.
There are also places to rent a bike or go horseback riding on the beach, and Hotel Playa Negra can book surf lessons, massages (on the beach or at the house), hikes in national parks, rafting trips, big-game fishing outings, golf or any other activity you would like to do during your stay in Costa Rica.
For those who like good cooking, the kitchen is equipped with everything you could need to make meals at home. But, if you’re feeling lazy, the restaurant of the hotel is just a 2-minute walk from the house, and the neighboring village of Los Pargos (approximately half a mile) offers a range of restaurants to chose from (pizza, tacos, Peruvian, French), including one upscale restaurant for exquisite dining.
